We’re exciting to announce that Don Gilmore and the Iron Dinosaur Racing Team will be displaying the Iron Dinosaur June 21st through June 23rd at Dale’s Wheels Through Time Museum!

The Iron Dinosaur Racing team was formed in 2012 with the goal of designing and constructing a land speed race car capable of capturing records at both the East Coast Timing Association (ECTA) Ohio Mile and the Southern California Timing Association (SCTA) Bonneville Salt Flats Speed Week.

The race car was originally envisioned as a belly tank style lakester with construction completed in 2012. The race car was designed and hand built by the race team at our Etna facility. Even though the belly tank concept was conceived as a test bed, the team earned five land speed records at the ECTA’s Ohio Mile track in Wilmington, Ohio during concept testing. The team also earned a timing plaque for participation at the Bonneville Salt Flats during Speed Week in August 2013.

Follow Don and the Iron Dinosaur Racing Team as they make their way to Loring, Maine for the Land Speed Trials July 10-14th, and “Speed Week” at the Bonneville Salt Flats August 10-16th.
