The Town of Banner Elk and Lees-McRae College invite the community to the 2nd Annual Family Picnic and Concert on Thursday, September 19. Starting at 5 p.m. in Tate-Evans Park, the evening will feature live entertainment from Shay Martin Lovette and If Birds Could Fly, food and beverage vendors, inflatable games for all ages, and interactive novelties. Hot dogs will be available for free for children 12 and under, courtesy of Banner Elk Kiwanis.

Admission is free, but attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items for donation to Feeding Avery Families. Free parking will be available at the Historic Banner Elk Elementary School and the Town Hall parking lots. Additional support provided by the Banner Elk Tourism Development Authority.
