I love hanging out at the brewery in Huntersville with my friends. The atmosphere is slightly speakeasy with no TVs, dark leather couches, a fireplace, hardwood floors, and several different nooks to congregate but not be excluded from the rest. However, this is about to change up a bit! 

Gaston County’s mild climate makes for a great winter getaway. It’s easy to get outside and enjoy all the activities the area has to offer without having to endure frigid temperatures and piles of snow and ice making it easy to make the most of the winter.

Chetola Resort once again welcomes folks to its drive-through tour known as the Festival of Lights. The display includes close to 30,000 lights throughout the resort and around Chetola Lake.

Our long winter season (November-March) brings some of most spectacular moments on Grandfather Mountain nature park. Visit the “quieter season” with more opportunities for magical, solitary mile-high experiences. You’ll escape the crowds that you normally find in the warmer months.
