If you would like to take the decision making and stress out of your travel, take a Fall Color Tour on the Ridgeline Trolley. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and select Sundays in October and early November, the trolley ventures up into the mountains to see the changing leaves and takes the riders on an autumn adventure they won’t forget. The tour starts in the county seat of Morganton before heading up to Linville Falls, North Carolina’s largest waterfall by volume. There, trolley riders will have an opportunity to hike at their own pace and take in all the scenery at the falls. At the predetermined meet up time, riders will board the trolley again to take them to Linville Falls Winery, where they will have the option to reward themselves with a glass of wine. After the winery, the trolley will continue on to the Snowy Mountain Christmas Shop where riders will have the opportunity to purchase exquisite Christmas decorations or baked goods while also enjoying a coffee or apple cider. Lastly, on the way back, the trolley will stop at the Brown Mountain Overlook and the guide will tell the legend of the Brown Mountain Lights before finishing the drive back down the mountain to Morganton.
