Hear the thunder in Maggie Valley! Vintage Harleys roar to life as Dale’s Wheels Through Time kicks off its 2026 season.

Maggie Valley, NC
March, 2026

Get ready to hear the thunder. On April 2, 2026, the mountain air of Maggie Valley will be filled with the unmistakable roar of vintage engines as Dale’s Wheels Through Time Museum officially kicks off its 2026 season. Known worldwide as “The Museum That Runs,” this isn’t your typical quiet gallery of stationary relics; it is a living, breathing tribute to American motorcycling history.

The Grand Opening Celebration

The opening weekend is a high-octane celebration of preservation and passion. On April 4, 2026, the museum hosts its annual Founder’s Day, honoring the legacy of museum founder Dale Walksler.

This season features the updated exhibit, “Motorcycle Cannonball: The Endurance of Man and Machine,” which chronicles the grueling coast-to-coast journeys of early riders. You can also explore the Decade Collection, a stunning timeline of American automobiles spanning nearly 100 years, including rare Packards and Cadillacs.

The excitement doesn’t stop at the exhibits. The museum has announced its biggest raffle yet for 2026: two lucky winners will take home a piece of history. The grand prizes are a stunning 1946 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead and a 1939 Harley-Davidson ULH in iconic Airway Blue.

Whether you’re a lifelong rider or a history buff, the 2026 opening is an unmissable event. Join us in Maggie Valley this April and witness the machines that built America roar back to life!
