It’s WFDD’s 3rd Annual Look Up And Listen party at Hanging Rock State Park . . . and we’re celebrating Halloween early this year! So yes, come in costume!

Join us at the lake at Hanging Rock State Park where you can set up your outdoor gear on the beach (a simple blanket will suffice but if you want to bust out your full camping gear with table and chairs, go for it!). We’ll have a couple of fire pits and s’mores supplies, and also some candy for you to give out to trick-or-treaters so you only need to worry about the healthy part of dinner — dessert is on us.

We’ll listen together to family-friendly but spooky episodes of Radiolab and The Hidden Brain; while you’re listening, the Forsyth Astronomical Society will have some telescopes set up for viewing night-sky objects (or you can, you know . . . look up and see the stars). Don’t forget that afterward you can join us at Green Heron Alehouse for a beer on us. It’s a perfect night out!

Early bird tickets are $20 and are available through September 30th. Kids 12 and under (and cute pets!) are free!
