Get ready to welcome the New Year with a touch of Scottish tradition at First Footin’ at Rural Hill on January 1st, 2024, from 10am until 1pm. This free event at the historic Rural Hill invites visitors to celebrate Hogmanay, a Scottish New Year’s celebration steeped in centuries of rich history.
The event is free to attend, but registration is required, and donations are encouraged and welcomed to help sustain Rural Hill and ensure that we can provide free programming like First Footin’ for years to come.
Guests are invited to bring canned goods to donate to Caterpillar Ministries, a local non-profit organization that helps those in need in our community. You can also bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with your friends and family!
Hogmanay is a time to bid farewell to the past year and welcome the new one with family and friends.
At First Footin’, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about this ancient Scottish tradition through a guided walk around the property. They will hear stories about the history of Rural Hill, which dates back to the 18th century.
First Footin’ at Rural Hill is a great way to start the new year with family, friends, and the community while learning about the rich history and traditions of Scotland. Come join us for a festive celebration filled with fun, food, and goodwill!
