Embrace the Spirit of Summer in Granville County: Festivals, Music, and Fun Await!

As the temperatures rise and the days grow longer, Granville County gears up for an exciting lineup of festivals and events that promise to make this summer unforgettable. From celebrating cultural diversity to indulging in mouthwatering cuisine, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store:

Things kick off on May 11th with CultureFest which takes to the streets of Oxford from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. CultureFest transforms the streets of Oxford into a vibrant tapestry of sights, sounds, and flavors from around the world. Join us as we celebrate diversity with an array of food trucks offering culinary delights, live performances, and an atmosphere brimming with cultural charm.

As spring transitions to summer one of Granville’s most popular festivals returns. Formerly known as the Chicken Pickin’, the Butner Summer Festival returns on May 31st and June 1st, promising two days packed with excitement. From street dances to BBQ chicken cook-offs, craft vendors to kiddie activities, there’s no shortage of entertainment for the whole family.

If you haven’t figured it out, music is a central theme to our fun. Let the rhythm of summer carry you away at Music on Main in Oxford on June 7th and August 9th. Groove to live music performances while savoring local delicacies and soaking in the lively atmosphere of Main Street.

Creedmoor gets into the act on Thursday, June 13th when the town hosts the Granville Chamber of Commerce music series Alive after Five featuring The Konnection Band. Join us for an evening of music, food, and community spirit as we dance the night away under the stars.

Transport yourself to a coastal paradise at the Beach Music Festival on June 15th at the Barn at Vino. With live bands, food trucks, and refreshing beverages, it is the ultimate summer beach party in Granville County.

No summer is complete without fireworks, and the Fourth of July display at Lake Holt in Butner promises to be nothing short of spectacular. Gather your loved ones and witness the skies light up in a dazzling celebration of freedom and community.

As you mark your calendars for summer fun, don’t forget to save the dates for our two mega-festivals in the fall: the NC Hot Sauce Contest & Festival in Oxford on September 6th & 7th, and the Creedmoor Music Festival on September 14th. The festivities never end in Granville County!
