The state-of-the-art destination distillery at Southern Distilling Company has been a jewel in the crown of the Statesville region’s thriving craft beverage community since 2017, growing in popularity and gaining attention among locals and tourists alike.
However, there are big changes on the horizon for this craft distillery. Owners, Pete and Vienna Barger have been pinnacling figures in the passing of new legislation that has loosened the State regulations on distilleries.
Southern Distilling Company has begun to serve cocktails made with their signature award-winning Southern Star Bourbon Whiskey and Liqueur products in their beautiful and spacious tasting room. From rich aged products to decadent liqueurs, Southern Distilling Company has created a variety of unique, as well as, traditional cocktails to tantalize the taste buds.
Take a seat at their vintage oak bar, gaze at the industrial beauty of the building, lose yourself to the heritage of craft distilling, and taste the perfect blend of good drinks and good times.
Don’t worry if hard liquor really isn’t for you… Southern Distilling Company is also serving beer and wine.
In addition to sipping on hand-crafted cocktails, guests may also take an in-depth Behind-the-Scenes tour of the facility where they will learn about the history of spirits production in the area, the secrets and science of distilling, and taste the fruits of the distiller’s labor off the still and in the bottle. For those who have less time to spend, a less detailed Short-and-Sweet Tour is offered, or you can just stop in and simply enjoy a drink at the bar!
