Morganton, NC November 2024
We Are Open! That’s the message many Western North Carolina towns, not directly devastated by Hurricane Helene, want you to know. The tremendous loss felt across WNC is overwhelming, with so many people, homes, and communities affected. But these communities are strong and resilient.
While it will take a long time for many towns to rebuild, Morganton, Marion, Rutherfordton and others are open for business. Even though business owners may have suffered personal losses, in some towns their businesses still stand. And now more than ever, they need your support to sustain.
Main Street Directors have organized a ShopWNC website (https://www.shopwnc.com/) that highlights businesses who are open to shopping either in person or on line. Please consider visiting and supporting these local businesses as they recover from this devastating event. Your patronage can make a significant difference.
As you shop in Western North Carolina communities over the next few months, please remember that you are supporting entire communities.
Don’t miss your chance to shop small and win big on Small Business Saturday! Thanks to American Express, Small Business Saturday (November 30th) has become a highly anticipated annual event. Downtown Morganton is proud to participate with our popular Golden Ticket event.
At each participating store, there will be scratch off Golden Tickets. If you pick the right Golden Ticket, you will receive $100 to $250 in Downtown Bucks to use at your favorite local businesses. $5,000 in total to be given out that day. Winning Golden Tickets can only be used for purchases on Small Business Saturday.
