As we move into fall and the Holiday Season, Downtown Morganton begins preparing for the seasonal décor and multiple events that happen in October, November, and December!
Visitors will enjoy the fall decorations of hay bales, pumpkins, cornstalks, and mums all through town while the leaves begin to turn their gorgeous array of colors. October 20th and 21st catch a ride through the Spooky Meadows Haunted Trail at Catawba Meadows Greenway and on the 21st come hungry to the famous October Oyster Outing held on the Courthouse Square and produced by the Burke Arts Council. The end of October will offer two Allhallows Eve events: Ofrenda: A Dia de los Muertos performance at CoMMA Performing Arts Center on the 27th and Halloween Spooktacular on the 31st.
November and December will ring in the Season and get you in the Holiday spirit with a calendar of events to warm the heart, fill the soul, and bring laughter and fun to children. There is the not to miss Winter Carnival and Downtown Tree Lighting, Visits with Santa Claus, weekend Carriage Rides, and more!
