Our spicy celebrations kick off with the Hot Sauce Contest on September 12th and 13th, a two-day event turning up the heat with North Carolina’s best hot sauces, salsas, and savory bites. Friday night brings live music, glow-in-the-dark mini golf, and family fun, while Saturday offers carnival rides, a rock climbing wall, kid-friendly inflatables, and nonstop live music. Don’t miss the fiery Hot Pepper Eating Contest—where only the bold survive! It’s a weekend full of flavor and fun for all ages.
Next up, the Creedmoor Music Festival on September 20th transforms Main Street in downtown Creedmoor into an unforgettable day of music and celebration. Enjoy performances from top local and regional acts across multiple stages, explore classic cars at the car show, grab a bite from food trucks, and browse a variety of local vendors. With plenty of activities for the kids, it’s the perfect family-friendly festival.
October brings a beloved Oxford tradition, the Annual Masonic Homecoming Festival on October 11th, welcoming back alumni and supporters of North Carolina’s first and oldest home for children. The day includes the state’s largest Shriners parade, a BBQ cook-off, a bustling food truck rodeo, and games for all ages. It’s more than a festival—it’s a heartfelt homecoming wrapped in tradition, warmth, and community pride.
Finally, get ready for the new and improved Granville LIVE! on October 18th, bringing beats, bites, and community vibes to The Barn at Vino. Hosted by the Granville County Chamber of Commerce, this fall festival features live entertainment, great local food, and an atmosphere perfect for enjoying the season with friends and neighbors. It’s a must-attend event for music and community lovers alike.
