*SHINETOPIA FESTVAL 2019*
(Donnie Lee Strickland performs at 1pm)
To celebrate Copper Barrel’s four year anniversary, we have partnered with Scarlette Productions and Pat’s Body Shop to host a family-friendly event to raise money and awareness for the Patriot Sportsmen organization; whose mission is to help combat veterans, children with special needs and their families experience healing through outdoor adventures. With an amazing lineup of bands, breweries, car clubs, food trucks, talented artisans showcasing their products and fun for the kids.
Live Music
Local musicians Josh Perryman, Will Easter and Drew Willardson will kick off the festivities for our VIP guests at noon. They will be followed by award-winning recording artist Donnie Lee Strickland and everyone’s favorite local drummer Chris Jordan. Then Diamonds & Whiskey from Charlotte will crank up the energy with their dark country voodoo before for our friends the HonkyTonk Outlaws from Winston-Salem light up the stage with such hits as Carolina Moonshine.
Local Brews
Four amazing craft breweries will be on-site to quench your thirst with some of the most delicious and refreshing brews from Boondocks, Booneshine, Granite Falls and Lost Province. Drink vouchers are included with each ticket purchased and additional drink vouchers will be available for purchase during the concert as well.
Tasty Vittles
Does the name MoonRunners Saloon sound familiar to you? That may be due to the fact they were featured on an episode of Bar Rescue a while back. So, we’re excited to announce their 30ft food truck will be onsite to serve up their mouth-watering specialties. Nina’s Good Eats Bakery will join us this year to satisfy your sweet tooth with their tasty treats. And, VIP ticket holders will receive a voucher good for a FREE made-to-order liquid nitrogen ice cream from Screamery Creamery.
Cool Cars
Whether you fancy vintage automobiles, dirt-track racecars or corvettes, we’ve got you covered. Traditional bootleg hotrods owned by Bill Blair Jr., Dub Harris, Hohn Church and Kenneth Nicholson will be on display in our parking lot alongside the Moonshine Bandit’s championship winning dirt-track cars. And, the Generation Vettes club from Winston-Salem will display their pride and joy in the Town Square (previously Melody Square) parking lot.
Cornbread Competition
We’re absolutely delighted to host our 2nd Annual Copper Barrel® Cornbread Cook-Off sponsored by Carolina Cooker® and Linney’s Mill®. The top 10 entries will win and this year we’ve upped the ante with a total of $1,000 (ARV) in prizes. So, if you think you have what it takes to be crowned the Carolina’s Cornbread King or Queen, we invite you to join this cooking competition. Contestants must submit an entry form no later than April 13, 2019 and comply with all of the contest rules to be eligible for participation. Best of luck to everyone!
Local Artisans
This year we’ll introduce the ACoRNMarketplace; a great exhibit that consists of several artisans and crafters from rural North Carolina who will showcase their talents such as engraving and sell items like jewelry and handcrafted paper or wood products
