Stunning views, fun events, and beautiful spring flowers await you in Patrick County. Grab the Jeep lovers in your life and spend the day at the 3rd annual Blue Ridge Jeep Fest on May 3rd. Spend the day at the 23rd Annual Stuart Strawberry Festival on May 16th. Held in Uptown Stuart, this festival features great food, lots of vendors, and gallons of strawberries. The day starts with the Strawberry Festival 5k at 8am, and the festival begins at 10am. 

Looking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift? Find a great selection of hanging baskets, house plants, and more at Hall’s Plants and  Puckett’s Greenhouse in Ararat. Stop by Clay & Twig in Critz for garden plants, hanging baskets, and other goodies. Treat mom to a delicious, farm-to-table dinner at Pickle & Ash or grab a box of homemade fudge at Nancy’s Candy. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the stunning views and beautiful blooms at Fred Clifton Park. 

May is rockin’ and rollin’ with great shows. Catch Livin’ at the First Fridays Summer Jam in Stuart on May 1st. Swing by the Reynolds Homestead on May 9th for Music on the Lawn Featuring Kat Mills. See Erin & the Wild Fires at Stuart’s Star Theatre on May 9th. The Patrick County Music Association is hosting a free concert on May 23rd, featuring Barry Collins & the Mudflappers.
