Known as a small town with big celebrations, the Town of Valdese summer concerts will conclude on September 3rd with a special performance by Too Much Sylvia. Sharing a variety of hits from ZZ Top to Motown, TMS is sure to get the crowd to their feet. The finale concert will begin at 7pm and will continue until 10pm.
This year’s Family Friday Night Summer Concert Series took on a new location in order to accommodate social distancing and overall COVID-19 safety. The venue change brought great feedback from not only locals but visitors alike, and due to this response, the decision was made to continue the season at the new location on Temple Field behind the Old Rock School.
The new location allows for picnics, games for all ages and a much cooler atmosphere to enjoy each week’s entertainment. Morrissa Angi, Director of Community Affairs and Tourism, shares, “We received a great amount of public support for the new location and seeing the families come out to the event is truly what the series was originally created for.” Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair, dancing shoes and enjoy the season finale.
