On Valentine’s weekend, the Arts Council’s “Winter Dessert Theatre Series” features a real treat, as you share in the enjoyment of locally prepared desserts and an exciting Murder Mystery entitled “Where There’s A Will, There’s A Murder.” Newlyweds, family, friends, cousins, the maid, and butler of the luxurious estate to which they stay, work to find out who has turned their back on whom during the reading of famous author “Noone’s” last will and testament.

Cozy up in an old General Store to experience the way things used to be out in the country on a cold winters night. Bring your dancing shoes and come ready to shake a leg or shuffle your feet when you try the long-time Stokes County tradition of flat footin’. Bluegrass groups performing this month include: Grace & Grass, Henry Mabe & Friends, Denny Alley and the 3 J’s, and Blues Creek.
