As summer makes its last hoorah, settle into a Stokes County state of mind to watch as the rural tree line fades into beautiful autumn shades. As temperatures turn cooler, grass of green below your feet will lead to airwaves filled with sounds of good ole time blue grass, folk, and Americana music down by the Dan River at Moratock Park.

In its 45th year the Stokes Stomp Festival on the Dan is set to entertain, educate, and showcase some of the finest arts, crafts, foods and items from local and regional vendors.  The Stomp Parade ushers in an action packed single day event, on Saturday, September 14th at 10am. Upon conclusion of the parade, three local high school bands kick off an entertainment lineup filled with local and statewide musicians and songwriters. 2019’s line up will have you clogging, two stepping, and flat footin’ near the stage, dance acts and award winning clogging groups show attendees how it’s done. Moratock Park, located in a horseshoe of the Dan River, will be filled with over 80 vendors of arts, crafts, information, food trucks, and more.  Fun for the entire family with face painting, caricatures, take home wood working activity, and Spark Fitness endurance challenge, you’ll be Stompin’ to your hearts content.
