43 Years and counting! The Yadkin Valley Harvest Festival is right around the corner and it’s been a highlight of the Fall season around here since 1976. Traditionally the third Saturday in September, ours is the granddaddy of festivals in the Yadkin Valley. It all happens this year in downtown Yadkinville on Saturday, September 21st.

We will close the streets and celebrate all that is good in Yadkin County. Over the years, the festival has grown and evolved. There is literally something for everyone who attends. An array of vendors line the streets. Sumptuous food offerings temp the hungry. And this year, there will be all local bands on the Main Stage featuring None of the Above, Blues Deville, Oil and Renegar, and Taylor Vaden. Yes, the downtown is alive with sights, sounds, smells and tastes. There will even be appearances from our favorite performers at the Willingham Performing Arts Academy and also the Yadkin County Junior Appalachian Musicians.

Along with music, food and our fabulous vendors, this year we are featuring our ArtMe (Yadkin Arts Council Artist Members) on the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center Plaza with free live art demos and handcrafted art. Festivities will also include amusement rides, and even pony rides! This is not a ticketed event, but make sure to bring some cash so you can participate in all the fun and support all of Yadkin Counties local artisans.
