Come out to watch the best Quidditch teams from all over the mid-Atlantic region compete for their spot in the US Quidditch Cup! The tournament will take place on November 9-10, 2019 at the Bryan Multi-Sports Complex located at 501 Oak Forest Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534. There is no cost to attend, and food trucks & concessions will be available for purchase on-site.

Game schedule will be released the week ahead of the tournament.

Quidditch originated as a fictional sport invented by author J.K. Rowling in the Harry Potter book series. The sport evolved into reality when a freshman at Middlebury College in Vermont laid the foundation for the sport’s rulebook and the very first game of quidditch was played in October 2005. Over the last 14 years, the sport has grown into a widely respected, physically intense sport. Quidditch is a mixed gender contact sport with a unique mix of elements from rugby, dodgeball, and tag. A team is made up of seven athletes who play with brooms between their legs at all times. While the game can appear chaotic to the casual observer, once familiar with the basic rules, quidditch is an exciting sport to watch and even more exciting to play.
