The third annual Hook, Line and Drinker Festival will be held on Saturday, May 18 from 3-7 p.m. at the Bridge Park in Sylva, N.C.
The festival, organized by the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, is a celebration of Jackson County being the home of the N.C. Trout Capital and the WNC Fly Fishing Trail.
The festival features local craft beer vendors, fishing and outdoor industry vendors, food trucks, and music by progressive bluegrass band Another Country (3-4:45 p.m.) and soulful rocker Leeda “Lyric” Jones (5:15-7 p.m.).
Admission is free, but patrons 21 and over must purchase a $5 commemorative cup in order to purchase craft beer from our vendors. There will be children’s activities on site as well.
The second annual Tuck Trout Trot fun run/walk kicks off the day’s celebration at 9 a.m., at the nearby Jackson County Greenway in Cullowhee. Registration for the Tuck Trout Trot includes a T-shirt. More information is available on the website www.hooklinedrinkerfest.com or by calling the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce at 828-586-2155.”
