Brevard, North Carolina
The Brevard Bike House is your boutique destination with a mountain bike theme. I would highly recommend staying here, even if you don’t know what a pump track is.
Ryan Jacques designed & built this tiny house from the ground up to welcome individuals, groups, or families and give them a unique cycling theme experience. If you have a huge group the house has a basement apartment that is not attached, but it’s right next to the fire pit, and private mountain bike track. It is really neat to discover all of the fine detail that has been put into this home that makes you feel good about staying there.
It is technically a tiny house, but you never feel cramped. When you walk in, it feels very open. You can see right up to the third-story sleeping loft. You have a front porch to sip your coffee and watch the sunrise and the back deck to grill your dinner and enjoy a sunset. If you bring your bicycles, you have a shed/shop next to the house for storage and quick repairs.
It was once said “being green isn’t easy,” it is when you stay in this tiny home. It is certified “Green Built” and “Energy Star.” The home construction is mostly reclaimed materials from other job sites. Absolutely nothing inside the home looks recycled. It is all very clever and very elegant how the materials were used.
Casual, clever, and upscale, walkable to downtown, the Brevard music center, the bracken mountain trail, the lumberyard.
