Small Town Charm Remains The Same
Beech Mountain, NC
Beech Mountain is very fortunate to have been spared the brunt of Hurricane Helene’s impact. However, we recognize that many of our neighboring communities are still facing significant challenges, and our thoughts remain with them as they continue their recovery.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of utility crews, firefighters, town employees, volunteers, and construction teams, we’re happy to report that power has been fully restored, roads and businesses are open, and Beech Mountain is ready to welcome visitors once again.
When you arrive, you can expect the same warm hospitality and natural beauty that Beech Mountain is famous for. However, several of our hiking trails have suffered damage and should be avoided. While our landscape might have changed slightly since your last visit, the unique charm of our small town remains the same.
Many small businesses in our area are struggling and need help more than ever. Fred’s General Mercantile and the shop at White Wolf Lodge are fully stocked with unique souvenirs and gift items. And while here, be sure to enjoy one of our local eateries like Famous Brick Oven Pizzeria, Holy Smokes BBQ or the Alpen Restaurant.
Our family-owned businesses, local craftsmen and artists, rely on the holiday sales to continue to prosper. That is why we have made the decision to carry on with the Holiday Market at the Buckeye Recreation Center on November 30, 2024. Coming together and shopping for those one-of-a-kind holiday gifts is a great way for us all to contribute to the recovery efforts.
We can’t wait to greet you with a friendly smile once again.
