ALCOVETS Ballon Festival
There’s an old saying that what goes up must come down. While it’s usually applied figuratively, that timeworn principle will have real-world implications this weekend when more than 20 hot-air balloons take to the skies of Alamance County during the 2nd ALCOVETS Hot Air Balloon Festival, September 8-10 at Cedarock 4242 R Dean Coleman Rd, Burlington, NC 27215.
The festival will feature a hot air balloon exhibition and, mass ascensions, live entertainment. We’re beyond excited to announce that Bucky Covington will be headlining the Balloon Festival Saturday, September 9!!! A kids’ zone, craft vendors, bike, and car show.
We look forward to seeing everyone and appreciate everyone supporting our local veterans.
ALCOVETS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) veterans organization located in Graham, North Carolina. Its mission is to provide outreach and host events to educate the public on the needs of veterans and to honor the veterans of Alamance and surrounding counties. The funds raised this year will go towards the construction of the Chesnut Ridge Campus, a veterans’ respite/retreat campus on the top of Bass Mountain.
