Get ready to kick off the ultimate summer of 2026 because the Family Friday Nights Summer Concert Series is officially returning to Valdese, N.C.! Dust off your lawn chairs and grab your dancing shoes because the season lineup is packed with grooves that will keep you moving from June through August. Whether you’re ready to rock with Dirty Grass Soul on June 5 or get funky with the Night Move Band later in the month, every Friday is a party waiting to happen.

The excitement hits a fever pitch with a massive Independence Day fireworks display and a performance by The Tonez that you can’t miss. With incredible car shows, tasty food trucks, and a dedicated kids’ area, there’s something to make every family member smile. The summer peaks with the legendary Waldensian Festival, one of our favorite festivals, on August 7 and 8, featuring 160 vendors, art competitions, and nonstop entertainment from groups like the J. Creek Cloggers and Cassette Rewind.

While you’re downtown, be sure to fuel up at some of our amazing local eateries. You can step back in time at Myra’s Smashburgers & Creamery for a classic 50s-themed diner experience or grab a hand-tossed slice at Twin Brothers Pizza Co. For something unique, Highlands Butchery provides farm-to-table favorites right in the heart of town.
