GoodFellers With Pat Flynn

12 October 2019

True Bluegrass guitar fans will not miss this extremely rare chance to see Pat Flynn play with GoodFellers on October 12 in Danbury. Flynn, whose iconic playing style is known through his work with The New Grass Revival, will be coming to town as part of The Stokes County Art’s Council’s 2019 Come Hear NC Music series. GoodFellers often include a few NGR tunes in every show, Flynn will perform some of the New Grass Revival hits he wrote along with some new material and who knows maybe some bluegrass standards. Except Flynn’s picking is anything but standard.

A long-time Nashville session player, Flynn is also responsible for writing many
of New Grass Revival’s 1980s material including Do What You Gotta Do, a song that brushed the top of the charts when later recorded by Garth Brooks.

GoodFellers will also slip in some songs from their first album, some from their upcoming release and will of course continue to play all the songs that have kept them out of the big time for so many, many years. Don’t miss this rare opportunity. Special guests include Rex McGee Kyser George and Gus McGee .

Tickets are $20 for SCAC members, $25 general admission, $5 for 18 and under.

Saturday, October 12, 2019 at The Arts Place of Stokes, 502 Main Street, Danbury, NC.
